Sheet Metal Fabrication Material

Precision Sheet Metal Material Intelligence

At REBAN, we bridge the gap between complex CAD designs and mission-critical hardware. By integrating advanced CNC technology with deep metallurgical expertise, we ensure your material selection optimizes structural integrity, weight, and cost—from rapid prototyping to global industrial deployment.

Overview

Sheet metal fabrication is the backbone of hardware development. At REBAN, we go beyond simple bending; we integrate advanced CNC Fiber Laser Cutting, NCT Punching, and Robotic Press Brake technology with a curated selection of industrial metals sourced from premium regional mills.

1. Aluminum Alloys: The Nexus of Strength and Weight

Aluminum remains the premier choice for industries demanding high strength-to-weight ratios and excellent thermal management.

  • AL 5052-H32: The industry standard for sheet metal. It offers superior salt-water corrosion resistance and excellent finishing capabilities.

  • AL 6061-T6: A structural powerhouse. While it requires expert handling during bending to avoid micro-fractures, it provides the rigidity necessary for aerospace and automotive frames.

  • AL 5754: Highly recommended for automotive structural applications due to its exceptional strength and resistance to chemical neutralization.

Design Note: REBAN utilizes custom-radius tooling for 6061-T6 alloys to ensure that the structural integrity of the “outer fiber” is maintained during the bending process, preventing common cracking issues.

2. Stainless Steel: Precision for Extreme Environments

When durability, hygiene, and oxidation resistance are non-negotiable, our stainless steel solutions lead the way.

  • Austenitic (304/316L): Non-magnetic and highly versatile. 316L is our specialized offering for medical and marine environments, featuring Molybdenum for enhanced chloride resistance.

  • Ferritic (430): Offers excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance and is magnetic—perfect for specialized sensors and kitchen appliances.

  • Martensitic (410): Heat-treatable for high-hardness applications like wear-resistant brackets and industrial tools.

3. High-Performance Steels & Coated Metals

We provide a full spectrum of steels engineered for specific mechanical environments.

  • Cold Rolled Steel (SPCC): Ideal for high-tolerance indoor applications. Its smooth surface provides the perfect “canvas” for premium powder coating and silk screening.

  • Electro-Galvanized (SECC): Offers a uniform zinc layer that provides sacrificial protection against rust while maintaining the tight tolerances required for precision electronics.

  • HSLA (High-Strength Low-Alloy): Used when weight reduction is required without compromising the load-bearing capacity of the assembly.

4. Conductive & Specialty Alloys

For power distribution and RF shielding, REBAN processes high-purity non-ferrous metals.

  • C1100 Copper: 99.9% pure. We utilize fiber laser technology with high-reflection absorption heads to cut copper with unrivaled edge quality.
  • Brass (C2680): Combines corrosion resistance with low friction and aesthetic appeal. Widely used for high-end architectural accents and electrical connectors.
  • Nickel Alloys / Mu-Metal: Available for specialized electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding in sensitive medical and defense electronics.

Engineering the Metallic Framework

At REBAN, sheet metal is the structural foundation of industrial hardware. We master the critical variables of grain direction and material springback to ensure every bend and laser cut is mathematically precise. By merging metallurgical science with high-tonnage CNC technology, we deliver everything from EMI-shielded chassis to heavy-duty automotive brackets with uncompromised structural integrity.

Our Sheet Metal Integrity Standards

  • Metallurgical Precision: Every coil of Aluminum, Stainless, and Galvanized steel is verified for tensile strength and hardness to ensure uniform forming.

  • Specialized Inventory: We maintain a ready-to-use stock of pre-plated SECC, mirror-finish stainless, and aviation-grade alloys to accelerate your production timeline.

  • Dimensional Fidelity: Automated laser calibration and real-time thickness monitoring ensure that your 10,000th part is as accurate as your first.
